For a successful experience serving internationally, two criteria must be met:

• You must be prepared for the assignment undertaken.
• Your expectations must align with the conditions in which you will serve.

What you can expect from the participating organizations:

Mission:Teach is a service that matches your interests and preferences with international opportunities in education.

Partner Schools have positions available in teaching at pre-, primary, and secondary school levels. They also offer a full range of other positions in education, from Principals to Guidance Counselors to Dorm Parents. In some cases schools will review your personal profile and recommend a sending agency to assist you.

Sending Agencies, also called Mission Agencies, are typically the state-side representative for some international schools. Many agencies have multiple teaching options and will help you find the one for which you are uniquely suited. Some interesting options that a sending agency can offer are nontraditional schools, such as one-room school houses, home schooling, and secular international schools.

Be sure to get all of your questions answered as you progress through the connecting and discovery stages. Review each section so that expectations are properly aligned and you find your “best-fit.”
