Browser Compatibility Issues Print E-mail

COOKIES:

Cookies must be enabled to login in to any account on Mission:Teach.
If login is unsuccessful, check that cookies are allowed, at least for the active session.


JavaScript:

JavaScript must be enabled in for Mission:Teach to function as expected.

 

SECURITY:

Security settings must allow SSL 2.0 and/or SSL 3.0 to access the password-protected areas.


WINDOWS:

For best results use Mozilla (Firefox). There are minor unintended display issues with Internet Explorer, Safari and Opera on a Windows computer.

Chrome by Google is also a competent browser. It boasts of its speed which may be helpful with slow connections experienced in parts of the world.

 

Internet Explorer can give strange results. It is regarded by developers as the least competent browser. You are on your own.

 

MAC:


For best results use Mozilla (Firefox).

There are serious compatibilty problems with Safari 1 which is the highest version of this browser for OS 10.3 or lower. Not all navigation will work. Safari 4 functions just fine, but there are some unintended display errors unique to Safari.


OS 10.4 or higher must be installed to use Safari 4.


Chrome by Google works well. It requires OS 10.5 or higher. It boasts of its speed which may be helpful with slow connections experienced in parts of the world.


There are minor compatibility issues with Opera 10 but it can be slower. 


While, Internet Explorer for the Mac will display or navigate as expected, it is obsolete as it is no longer supported.
